Founded 1895.

(Reformed in 1958)

One of the three leagues that feed the Leicestershire Senior League. The Leicester & District League consists of teams throughout the county of Leicestershire but does not have much representation within the city of Leicester itself.

The original Leicester & District League closed down sometime during the 1920's or 1930's and when it reformed in 1958/59 it consisted mainly of reserve teams (Fleckney Athletic being the only non reserve team in the league).

The league expanded over the next decade to include more non reserve teams and when the Leicestershire Football Combination was formed in 1972/73 most of the reserve teams left the Leicester & District League.

Current seasons results and tables can be found at the Yellow Jersey Website.
